The researched included 15 patients, who had a heart transplantation and are suffering from hypertension. The research has proven that the daily use of Viagra in 50mg doses decreases the arterial pressure in the pulmonary and systemic blood circulation. However the arterial pressure does not decline lower then the normal levels, which is a significant advantage of Viagra to other hypertension drugs.
The newly discovered effect of Viagra may allow the scientists to suppose that the preparation may in the near future be used widely in transplantology as a drug for hypertension treatment.
